Fitness and Boxing Club for Competitive Boxing and for Fitness through Boxing regime was started in April 2007.
Boxing is an age old sport which has, for reasons unknown, taken the back stage in Pune for some time now. The cause for this might be an inherent fear of the unknown in people, or due to the general perception that ‘this game is not for the average middle/higher class person because it belongs to that violent breed of people which likes to fight all the time’. But this is hardly the case. All over the world, not only is boxing a mainstream sport, but it also takes the form of a supplementary activity while training athletes in other disciplines. The routine involves aerobic and anaerobic exercises that prepare you for any sport. Sometimes ‘Boxercise’, as it is called, is used by basketball players, swimmers, cricketers, rugby players, and by innumerable other sportspersons to build not only their physical strength, but also their psyche. Boxing is undeniably the most disciplined of all sports, and it instills in the boxer a ‘never-say-die’ attitude which is a necessity in today’s life. It trims any excess fat without dieting and a very useful by-product of the self defense techniques you learn is self confidence.
Boxing Routine
The exercise routine involves jogging / running / skipping / pad punching / push ups / chin ups / free hand exercises / vertical – horizontal rope / bag punching / steps / speed ball / abdominal exercises / other boxing exercises. It is a comprehensive fitness schedule with absolutely no requirement for any machines to enhance your body

Most of the athletes world wide use Boxing as a support sport which gives you a never say die attitude (a Mental make-up required for any sportsman/ sportswoman) and a full body fitness through aerobic and anaerobic exercises.
Thus far we have hosted two tournaments towards encouraging Boxing as a sport and motivating present Boxers who are following the game.
